No material should be selected by color alone. Underfoot temperature, wet traction, texture, maintenance, natural variation, surrounding architecture and budget all affect the decision. Samples should be reviewed at the property because a surface can look and feel different in Florida sun than it does indoors or on a screen.
Concrete pavers provide a broad range of colors, formats, textures and border options. They can coordinate with adjoining patios and walkways, and individual units can be lifted and reset if a section is damaged or access is needed beneath the surface.

Travertine is a natural-stone option often considered for pool decks because of its appearance, texture and underfoot character. Each piece varies, and the exact finish, color, porosity, maintenance requirements and suitability for the site should be reviewed before selection.
Marble creates a distinctive natural-stone surface with its own color and veining. Product, finish, heat exposure, wet traction and maintenance expectations require careful evaluation around a pool; “marble” alone does not describe how every option will perform.
